Cryogenic Oxygen plant -manufacturing process
Oxygen manufacturing:
1.Compression unit
2.After cooler
3.Purger
4.Nitrogen cooler
5.Freon cooler
6.Purger
7.Oil absorber
8.Moisture absorber
9.CO2 drying unit
10.Regenration heater
11.Air filter
12.Air expander
13.Cold box
14.Pump
Let see the above process in detail,
1.Compression unit:
Compress the atmosphere air up to working pressure.
2.After cooler:
Cools down the air that get heated during compression process.
3.Purger:
Removes excess moisture from air.
4.Nitrogen cooler:
Then it will further cools down the air by cooling with water nitrogen gas.
5.Freon cooler:
A closed refrigeration cycle further cools down the air up to 8 degree Celsius.
6.Purger:
Removes excess moisture produced during cooling.
7.Oil absorber:
Removes hydrocarbon content like oil, methane,,etc by absorption.
8.Moisture absorber:
Further removes any traces of moisture from the compressed air.
9.CO2 drying unit:
Then is passed through CO2 unit to remove CO2 completely from process air.
10.Regenration heater:
Used for regeneration of zeolite in CO2 drying unit.
11.Air filter:
Removes dust particles up to efficiency of one micron.
12.Air expander:
Expands air to produce excess cold required for cryogenic distillation.
13.Cold box:
Distillates the low temperature liquid to form pure oxygen.
14.Pump:
It further compress the oxygen gas up to working pressure for filling cylinders.
Then filled cylinders will be distributed to end customer for several purposes. We will discuss it later in separate page.
Thank you.
